red, white and blue






I'm looking forward to a lazy day for the 4th of July holiday. It's a bit weird that the 4th landed mid-week, but I'll take holiday vacation however I can get it!

I scanned Pinterest for the requisite 'red, white and blue' and found these images. That festive cheesecake looks fun! I usually shy away from holiday themed desserts, but I'm not sure I could resist Martha Stewart's cheesecake recipe.

  21. The colors are pretty! I'm going to enjoy the day off, but I'm not really celebrating otherwise as none of my family is here (and we don't do *that* much, anyway - usually just a barbeque or something). I'm mostly looking forward to tomorrow, when the fireworks that they've been shooting off for the past week all night every night are over and I can finally get some sleep again!!
